In order to help you buy sustainably, we’ve compiled this list of 12 sustainable brands to know about. Some of them are probably on your radar, but we’ve also aimed to include a few that you may not have heard of.
The brands on this list promote eco-friendly lifestyles and eliminate the TONS of plastic that gets dumped into landfills every day.
Patagonia
Patagonia is top on the list because they were early adopters of using recycled materials and organic cotton in their outdoor apparel line. Patagonia is fair trade certified and they also practice ethical labor standards.
This brand also actively provides a great working environment and they extend that positivity to underprivileged communities by giving back.
AllBirds
Allbirds produces a good-looking shoe so we were impressed to learn how sustainable they are. Allbirds makes their shoes with sheep wool and the brand goes to the fullest extent to make sure the sheep live a happy life.
Extending beyond happy sheep, Allbirds uses sustainability practices throughout the production of their shoes. One recycled bottle makes the laces, castor bean oil makes the strong soles of the shoe and their packaging is made from 90% recycled cardboard.
Alpyn Beauty
Alpyn is one of the most sustainable choices when it comes to beauty brands. Their products are made with flowers and plants and Alpyn harvests their ingredients in a way that they’ll easily grow back as to limit their carbon footprint.
Alpyn adopts the “clean beauty” model and, after all, they really are clean. Alpyn also has these accolades making them a sustainable brand you have to know about: they use recyclable packaging and materials, they use 100% recycled glass, they don’t test on animals, they’re certified vegan, and they repurpose plastic.
Baggu
Baggu is another sustainable brand you have to know about. They produce reusable bags with visually appealing prints. Just the fact that Baggu is reusable automatically makes it eco-friendly, but, their sustainability efforts span beyond that.
Baggu is committed to waste reduction and has a Sustainability Team who is always looking for and implementing ways to further Baggu’s sustainability efforts.
Inspire Ecoware
Since we are all about sustainability here at Inspire Ecoware, we had to include ourselves on the list. In fact, our entire line has been developed with the mission of offering consumers “permanent” products that replace the use of disposable products and don’t end up in the landfill.

Happsy produces organic mattresses. They eliminate the use of toxic chemicals like glue and adhesives to provide a safe place to sleep.
When it comes too production, Happsy’s products are made in the US by happy employees. The factory is even certified organic so there is no chance of cross-contamination.
Kahina
Kahina is a skincare brand that uses high quality argan sourced from Morocco. Since they source their oil from Morocco, Kahina donates 1% of their profits to empowering women in Morocco. Once the oil is sourced, the product is made here in the US so Kahina’s process empowers women AND is made in the US. Score.
It’s also important to note that Kahina’s packaging is made from 100% recycled materials. The glass bottles they use are also made from recyclable glass.
Love Beauty And Planet
This brand specializes in hair care products and soaps that are comprised of ethically sourced ingredients, vegan ingredients and the bottles are 100% recycled plastic.
It’s also noteworthy that Love Beauty and Planet gives a substantial amount of money back to the community.
What we really love about Love Beauty and Planet is that they encourage their social followers to perform a small act of love and tag their brand. What a cool way to engage and encourage positivity!
Lush
Lush specializes in all-natural body products like bath bombs, soaps, lotions, shampoos, and more. They made the list because of their “naked” packaging that eliminates the use of frivolous and environmentally damaging packaging materials.
Lush is also cruelty-free, they practice ethical buying practices, they give back to communities, and they’re handmade.
One Hope
One Hope produces award winning wines. They give back to communities more than other brands we’ve seen. In fact, One Hope has raised over $5 million to build schools, provide meals and more!
